There's something horrible about telling your friends about your different social networking sites.

The places you once used to harbour your rawest thoughts and ideas must consequently become censored to avoid conflict, misunderstandings, and other fun stuff of the like.

I know that every one of us is flawed and I am no exception to this. But I can't help feeling deceived anyways.

It's disgusting how self-centered we all are.

  1. There are some people I trust though; You, for instance, are on my FB, twitter, mixi and you follow my blog, but I'm pretty sure you'll never crush my opinions (at most criticize it with good reasons) and you'll accept what I say, regardless of how politically incorrect they are.

And I also totally adore you and agree with your thoughts and choices, so whatever general rants/criticism/bashing I'll display most likely won't be taken personally by you. i trust you for that. You know how I feel about you etc.

But alas, some thoughts I have could badly hurt some people on my networks, thus I should shut it. And indeed, I don't say much on fb anymore, because i still want to seem civilized. Which makes me a hypocrit but i'm fine with it. yeah I'm disgusting like that.

But at the same time I don't give a fuck. On my blog, for instance, if people really wanted to read it, well they pay for it. If they took the time to look for it, they might as well get the whole package.

The game of private and public spheres is pretty twisted with these networks. Your public mask is worn everywhere, even on spaces that seemed private (like networks, as they are restricted and they *should* be limited to people you choose to accept) and private masks worn in private spaces, like a personal blog where you write your wildest stuff, are, in the end, totally public.
